were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto
the God of their fathers.

Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the
LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that
they were not able to go to Tarshish.
John 6:26 (KJV) Jesus answered them and said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles,
but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
John 6:27 (KJV) Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which

which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

Moses, saying,

money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine <yayin>, or for strong drink <shekar>, or for

tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing,
and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the
widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;
Deuteronomy 26:13 (KJV) Then thou shalt say before the LORD
thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also
have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless,
and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded
me: I have not transgressed thy
commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
Deuteronomy 26:14 (KJV) I have not eaten thereof
in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use,
nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of
the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

2 Chronicles 31:1 (KJV) Now when all this was
finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and
brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high
places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and
Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of
Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.
2 Chronicles 31:2 (KJV) And Hezekiah appointed
the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man
according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for
peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates
of the tents of the LORD.
2 Chronicles 31:3 (KJV) He appointed also the
king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the
morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the
sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in
the law of the LORD.

in the law of the LORD.

children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of
oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy
things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and
laid them by heaps.
2 Chronicles 31:7 (KJV) In the third month they
began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh
month.
2 Chronicles 31:8 (KJV) And when Hezekiah and
the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.

with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.
2 Chronicles 31:11 (KJV) Then Hezekiah commanded
to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them,

was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year,
unto the house of the LORD:

sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of
our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the
priests that minister in the house of our God:
Nehemiah 10:37 (KJV) And that we should bring
the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner

of our God; and the tithes of our
ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all
the cities of our tillage.
Nehemiah 10:38 (KJV) And the priest the son of

treasure house.
Nehemiah 10:39 (KJV) For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and
the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the
priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
Nehemiah 12:44 (KJV) And at that time were some appointed
over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits,
and for the tithes, to
gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for
the priests and Levites: for Judah
rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written,
that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of

they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed
multitude.
Nehemiah 13:4 (KJV) And before this, Eliashib
the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was
allied unto Tobiah:
Nehemiah 13:5 (KJV) And he had prepared for him
a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the
frankincense, and the vessels, and the
tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was
commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and
the offerings of the priests.
Nehemiah 13:6 (KJV) But in all this time was not
I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:
Nehemiah 13:7 (KJV) And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a
chamber in the courts of the house of God.
Nehemiah 13:8 (KJV) And it grieved me sore:
therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.
Nehemiah 13:9 (KJV) Then I commanded, and they
cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house
of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense.
Nehemiah 13:10 (KJV) And I perceived that the portions of the Levites
had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work,
were fled every one to his field.
Nehemiah 13:11 (KJV) Then contended I with the
rulers, and said, Why is the house of
God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.
Nehemiah 13:13 (KJV) And I made treasurers over
the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the
Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of
Mattaniah: for they were counted
faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their
brethren.

concerning this, and wipe not out my
good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for
the offices thereof.

that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the
needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with
fishhooks.

breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into
the palace, saith the LORD.
Amos 4:4 (KJV) Come to Bethel, and transgress;
at Gilgal multiply transgression; and
bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:
Amos 4:5 (KJV) And offer a sacrifice of
thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for
this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Amos 4:6 (KJV) And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and
want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the
LORD.
Amos 4:7 (KJV) And also I have withholden the rain from you, when
there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one
city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon,
and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
Amos 4:8 (KJV) So two or three cities wandered
unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not
returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Amos 4:9 (KJV) I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your
gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased,
the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the
LORD.
Amos 4:10 (KJV) I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt : your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away
your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your
nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Amos 4:11 (KJV) I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not
returned unto me, saith the LORD.

thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel .
Amos 4:13 (KJV) For, lo, he that formeth the
mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought,
that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the
earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.
Haggai 1:1 (KJV) In the second year of Darius the
king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the
LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of
Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
Haggai 1:2 (KJV) Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is
not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.
Haggai 1:3 (KJV) Then came the word of the LORD
by Haggai the prophet, saying,

dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
Haggai 1:5 (KJV) Now therefore thus saith the
LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Haggai 1:6 (KJV) Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not
enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there
is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag
with holes.
Haggai 1:7 (KJV) Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine
