1.  Recognize That You Are A Sinner

There Is None That Doeth Good

Psalms 14:1 & 3

Psalms 14:1 (KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 14:2 (KJV) The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Psalms 14:3 (KJV) They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalms 53:1 & 3

Psalms 53:1 (KJV) To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 53:2 (KJV) God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Psalms 53:3 (KJV) Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:10 & 12

Romans 3:10 (KJV) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:11 (KJV) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Romans 3:12 (KJV) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

2.  Recognize That You Can’t Save Yourself

Exceed The Righteousness Of The Scribes...

Matthew 5:17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:18 (KJV) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:19 (KJV) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:20 (KJV) For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

For All Have Sinned

Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:24 (KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 3:25 (KJV) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Romans 3:26 (KJV) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 3:27 (KJV) Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:28 (KJV) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

And Yet Offend In One Point, He Is Guilty Of All

James 2:10 (KJV) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

James 2:11 (KJV) For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

Filthy Rags

What He Hath Prepared For Him

Isaiah 64:1 (KJV) Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,

Isaiah 64:2 (KJV) As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

Isaiah 64:3 (KJV) When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV) For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Isaiah 64:5 (KJV) Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

All Our Righteousnesses Are As Filthy Rags

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:7 (KJV) And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

We Are The Clay, And Thou Our Potter

Isaiah 64:8 (KJV) But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isaiah 64:9 (KJV) Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

Isaiah 64:10 (KJV) Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

Isaiah 64:11 (KJV) Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.

Isaiah 64:12 (KJV) Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?

While We Were Yet Sinners

Romans 5:6 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:7 (KJV) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:9 (KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The Wages Of Sin Is Death

Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3.  Recognize That Jesus Christ Is God

the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost

1 John 5:6 (KJV) This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

1 John 5:7 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

The True God

1 John 5:19 (KJV) And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

1 John 5:20 (KJV) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 John 5:21 (KJV) Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Art Thou The Christ, The Son Of The Blessed?

Mark 14:53 (KJV) And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

Mark 14:54 (KJV) And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Mark 14:55 (KJV) And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Mark 14:56 (KJV) For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

Mark 14:57 (KJV) And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

Mark 14:58 (KJV) We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

Mark 14:59 (KJV) But neither so did their witness agree together.

Mark 14:60 (KJV) And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

Mark 14:61 (KJV) But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

Mark 14:62 (KJV) And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mark 14:63 (KJV) Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

Mark 14:64 (KJV) Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Mark 14:65 (KJV) And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

4.  Turn From Your Sins (Repent)

John’s Preaching

Matthew 3:1 (KJV) In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

Matthew 3:2 (KJV) And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:13 (KJV) And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

Matthew 4:14 (KJV) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

Matthew 4:15 (KJV) The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

Matthew 4:16 (KJV) The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Apostle’s Preaching

Mark 6:7 (KJV) And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Mark 6:8 (KJV) And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Mark 6:9 (KJV) But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

Mark 6:10 (KJV) And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

Mark 6:11 (KJV) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Mark 6:12 (KJV) And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Mark 6:13 (KJV) And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Godly Sorrow Worketh Repentance To Salvation

2 Corinthians 7:9 (KJV) Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

2 Corinthians 7:10 (KJV) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

5.  Turn To Jesus Christ (accept Jesus Christ as your God)

Become As Little Children

John 3:7 (KJV) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:8 (KJV) The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Everlasting Life!

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17 (KJV) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18 (KJV) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The Lord Jesus

Romans 10:9 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:1 (KJV) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1 Corinthians 15:2 (KJV) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:3 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

John 20:31 (KJV) But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

What Doth Hinder Me To Be Baptized?

Acts 8:35 (KJV) Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
